Chase Comes Through With a Loan Mod in an Almost Impossible Case

By Monica Spangler

A client came to us in August 2010 with a story that left us with very little hope that we could ever get him a loan modification.  He had been severely beaten in an attack that left him permanently disabled.  He was only collecting $1,100 a month in disability and doing odd jobs on the side to make extra money.   His home was already heading into foreclosure at this time.  As impossible as it seemed, we really wanted to help him so we applied for a modification with Chase.  We were declined several times but kept re-applying.  We figured this man had been through enough heartache in his life.  We did not want to see him lose his home too.  Well, after 21 months of working with Chase on this modification we finally got an approval for a Making Home Affordable 3 month trial modification.  The payments went from $1,022 a month down to $750 a month!  The customer service representatives at Chase always say how they really care about their customers.  This just proves how true that is!
