Your Employer Can’t Fire You for Filing Bankruptcy by Kelly M. Robinson, Attorney, Newark Office

Don’t be worried that your employer will fire you because you filed for bankruptcy.  Employers rarely care.  The Bankruptcy Act expressly prohibits all private and public employers from terminating you or otherwise discriminating against you solely because you filed for bankruptcy.

So if your employer does punish you for having filed Bankruptcy, let someone in charge know that this is against the law!
